My name is Shaw and I'm a marine biology student. 

As someone who works part-time to fund my rent, I find it challenging to gain work experience in the marine biology field as it often requires a significant financial investment. Many work experience programs are costly and require payment for association with the organisation. However, I believe that the field needs all kinds of people, and that a perfect mould for a worker does not exist. If employers can be more understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with limited financial resources, and recognise that they are people and not just workers, we can create a more inclusive and diverse workplace.
