Finding home after displacement.

Shehany's journey began in 2016 when she, her mother, and brother were sent to Plymouth by the Home Office. Initially unsure, Plymouth's ocean reminded her of home, and she found a welcoming community through her church and university.

Now a medical student at the University of Plymouth, Shehany's passion for refugee rights and female empowerment is deeply rooted in her experience.
